The Guild’s annual Beef and Bull Event is always one of the highlights of our year. This marks the end of the year’s programing.

This year the Beef and Bull will be held on Thursday, November 20th, 2014

Brookside Manor at Somerton Springs

50 Bustleton Pike
Feasterville Trevose, PA 19053

Festivities began at 6:00pm with an open bar and appetizers until 7:00.  Then a buffet dinner is served and the end of year Image Competition Awards will be presented. After desert, we will move to our presentation room where  round table programs on a variety of topics are repeated every 30 minutes, so you have time to see 3 or 4 different programs.

Cost for dinner is just $30 for Guild Members and spouses, and $40 for non-members and guests. Registration is easy… use the simple online registration form at the bottom of the page! Or, click this link Beef and Bull.

Scheduled round table programs this year are:

AshforthBruce William Ashforth:

Tips & Tricks using ProShow Gold & Producer

These two slide show programs from PhotoDex are probably used by more Professional Photographers than any other.  One reason is the tremendous range of options they offer for both input (75 image formats including RAW and output directly from Lightroom + 23 video formats) and output formats (40+).  A common problem using a program like this infrequently is forgetting the process.  We’ll discuss using a standard workflow to create repeatable results time after time.  We’ll also demonstrate the use of an inexpensive morphing program to add interest and wow to a growing-up series of photos.  Discount coupons will be available to purchase new or updated versions of either program, and a full version of ProShow Producer ($249.95) will be given away.

Krista2Krista Krushinski:

‘In Studio Wedding Workflow”

This presentation will show you everything that happens in the studio once the wedding photos have been captured, downloaded, culled, and edited. I will bring you through each step I take as I prepare proofs with creative edits and filters for brides and grooms to enjoy. Learn how I prepare flash drives, galleries and other little extras for our awesome clients.

Highlights include:
-Arranging images from wedding day that tells a story recounting the events of the day
-Choosing images to enhance with creative filters
-Renaming images specific to the bride and  groom
-Resizing and compressing images for the web
-Preparing images on a USB flash drive in high and low resolution in place of proof books
-Creating online galleries for brides and grooms to share with friends and family

HarryHarry Markel:

“Secrets to Online Marketing”

This program will explore current trends integrating your photography website with Social Media applications such as Facebook and Twitter. Online e-commerce will be discussed as well as basic workflows using export plug-in’s for programs including Lightroom. We will build online galleries and upload live to the web during the presentation. Internet posting options will be presented and demo’d. Extra tips and shortcuts will be suggested to avoid copyright infractions.
